Hornsea Potteries (1949-2000) was founded by brothers Colin and Desmond Rawson. With the addition of John Clappison to the company Hornsea mushroomed, became the largest studio pottery in the world, and at it’s peak employed over 700 people. John Clappison’s designs for Hornsea sold in their millions.

In collaboration with mid-century fans Magpie, Hornsea have licensed reproduction of John Clappison’s designs on a range of ceramics in cheerful colours in celebration of his far-reaching impact on British design and manufacture.
